Promises to Yourself — Today

Entrepreneurial Quote of the Day:

“Life without purpose is a languid, drifting thing; every day we ought to review our purpose, saying to ourselves, ‘This day let me make a sound beginning.’” – Thomas Kempis

Hello Fabulous Women!

Here’s a wonderful poem, “Promises to Yourself,” that I want to share with all of you.  And I have a suggestion and challenge for you on how to allow this poem to impact your life powerfully.

Read the poem and then choose one promise, right now, that you will deliberately live by today.  Write it down and post it where you can see it, put it in your calendar, email it to yourself – whatever you need to keep it in your mind and life today.

Choose the one that speaks to you right now, the one that makes you smile, or the one that makes you cry, or the one that inspires you, or the one that just sounds like what’s been missing  – you’ll know which one it is.

And then bring that promise to everything you do today, to everyone you meet.

And see what happens.

Go ahead and read the poem and choose your promise for the day – and at the end you’ll see which one I chose.

Have a fabulous day – I know I will!

Promises to Yourself by Christian D. Larsen

Promise yourself…
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind;

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet;

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them;

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true;

To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best;

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own;

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future;

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile;

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others;

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear; and too happy to permit the presence of trouble;

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds;

To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

My Promise for today: To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person I meet.
