“Most people pursue pleasure with such breathless haste they hurry past it.” – Soren Kierkegaard
For Women Entrepreneurs – What’s Your Pleasure?
Hello Fabulous Women!
I have an important question for you today: What’s your pleasure?
Huh?
That’s right. What’s your pleasure today? Did you plan any?
I’ll bet you’ve planned plenty of other things for today. Calls to make, bills to pay, emails to answer, proposals to write, meetings to run – not to mention kids to get off to school, groceries to buy, dry cleaning to pick up, dinner to cook, and so on.
You have all those things planned in order to make your life and your business keep running and moving forward, right?
Well, I have a great life and business coaching tip for you. How about planning a bit of pleasure and fun in there, too?
Take a moment, right now, and ask yourself what you could add to your day today that would make you smile, lift your heart and energize you!
A little time in your garden sometime today? A walk with a friend? A phone call to an old friend you haven’t spoken to in way too long?
How about some alone time, for those of you who never seem to get any? Or some social time with a good friend? A manicure? A pedicure? Or heck, go for it and go get a massage!
When you take time out regularly for what you enjoy, it not only improves your life right now, today, it also helps you re-connect to why you are working so hard in the first place. As a business woman, you have so many demands on you that it’s easy to get lost in “doing, doing, doing,” but I tell you this: nobody has ever built a successful and lasting business without learning how to stop, take time out and recharge their batteries. And one of the best ways to do that is to make time for simple pleasures in your daily life.
For myself, I’m taking some time this morning to work in my garden, which feeds my soul and makes me smile. Yes, I have to pick up my dry cleaning and fold laundry and buy groceries, all before I go to work, but I am making that gardening time happen no matter what.
How about you – what’s your pleasure for today?
