Entrepreneurial Quote of the Day:

“What I am looking for is not out there; it is in me.”  – Helen Keller

Hello Fabulous Women!

Have you ever thought about starting an online business?  Let’s face it, who hasn’t?  If you have any interest in exploring and creating an online business, I strongly urge you to sign up for a great new online workshop developed by Liz Feeney of Summit Learning.

The workshop is: How to Generate Profitable Ideas for an Online Business — Based on Your Skills, Experience and Interest.

In this course, Liz has created a comprehensive and illuminating process that will help you to discover and develop viable internet business ideas based upon your own genuine interests and unique skills and experience.

There’s probably not a person on the planet who hasn’t thought about making money on the internet.  We’ve all heard stories about people making millions, people making a nice second income, and everything in between.  With all those stories floating around, many people have the mistaken idea that making money on the internet is easy.

Let me correct that misapprehension right here and now – it isn’t.

Creating a successful online business requires a great deal of hard work.  Most people who try it end up giving up, and one of the reasons they do is because they haven’t gone through the kind of process this workshop will take you through.  It will help you to develop a sound and viable business idea based upon something you are genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about.

Liz Feeney has been an internet entrepreneur since 2001 and is the author of two income-producing e-books:

o   The Dog Lover’s Guide to Quick and Easy, Almost-Homemade Dog Food

o   The Info-Product Idea Generator (currently not available as an e-book)

She is also the Developer and Publisher of two traffic-generating Web Sites:

o   www.dog-treat-recipe-exchange.com  As of 8/21/08 this site attracts 7,213 Absolute Unique Visitors per month, according to Google Analytics.

o   www.homemade-dog-food-guide.com  As of 8/21/08 this one-page sales letter web site attracts 776 Absolute Unique Visitors per month, according to Google Analytics.

Liz’s background as a website designer and marketer, graphic artist, technical writer and online workshop designer helped her to not only produce her own successful business results, but also to create this course to show you how to do the same with your ideas.

If you have any interest at all in creating or developing an online business, please go check out this excellent workshop:  Internet Business Idea Workshop

To Your Success!

For Women Entrepreneurs – A Vote for Sustainability

Entrepreneurial Quote of the Day:

“I not only use all the brains that I have, but all that I can borrow.” – Woodrow Wilson

For Women Entrepreneurs – A Vote for Sustainability

Hello Fabulous Women!

Here is a great chance to support a fellow woman entrepreneur and a great company.  Olivia Teter, a fellow member of the Women Entrepreneurs Email Group, has let me know that her company, Vetrazzo, is one of the 20 semi-finalists in Forbes Magazine’s Boost Your Business Contest!

Vetrazzo is an exciting company that designs and manufactures stunningly beautiful countertops out of recycled glass.  You just won’t believe how gorgeous these countertops are.

Vetrazzo has made it through to become a semi-finalist, out of nearly 1,500 companies that entered, and our votes will determine which of the 20 will become the five finalists.  One of those five will win the $100,000 prize for their business from Forbes.

To vote, please follow this link: http://boost08.perfectprize.com/voting/

Just scroll down toward the bottom, and you will see the 20 finalists.  Vetrazzo is second from the bottom on the right, with a picture of James Sheppard, Olivia’s business partner.  You can also click there to watch a 30 second Vetrazzo video, but I recommend checking out their own website as well so that you can see their beautiful products in greater detail.

Thanks, and please spread the word!  Let’s get Olivia and Vetrazzo into that final round!

For Women Entrepreneurs – What’s Your Pleasure?

September 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment

“Most people pursue pleasure with such breathless haste they hurry past it.”  – Soren Kierkegaard

For Women Entrepreneurs – What’s Your Pleasure?

Hello Fabulous Women!

I have an important question for you today:  What’s your pleasure?

Huh?

That’s right.  What’s your pleasure today?  Did you plan any?

I’ll bet you’ve planned plenty of other things for today.  Calls to make, bills to pay, emails to answer, proposals to write, meetings to run – not to mention kids to get off to school, groceries to buy, dry cleaning to pick up, dinner to cook, and so on.

You have all those things planned in order to make your life and your business keep running and moving forward, right?

Well, I have a great life and business coaching tip for you.  How about planning a bit of pleasure and fun in there, too?

Take a moment, right now, and ask yourself what you could add to your day today that would make you smile, lift your heart and energize you!

A little time in your garden sometime today?  A walk with a friend?  A phone call to an old friend you haven’t spoken to in way too long?

How about some alone time, for those of you who never seem to get any?  Or some social time with a good friend?  A manicure?  A pedicure?  Or heck, go for it and go get a massage!

When you take time out regularly for what you enjoy, it not only improves your life right now, today, it also helps you re-connect to why you are working so hard in the first place.  As a business woman, you have so many demands on you that it’s easy to get lost in “doing, doing, doing,” but I tell you this: nobody has ever built a successful and lasting business without learning how to stop, take time out and recharge their batteries.  And one of the best ways to do that is to make time for simple pleasures in your daily life.

For myself, I’m taking some time this morning to work in my garden, which feeds my soul and makes me smile.  Yes, I have to pick up my dry cleaning and fold laundry and buy groceries, all before I go to work, but I am making that gardening time happen no matter what.

How about you – what’s your pleasure for today?
